UPDATE 5/11/13

LONG TIME NO SEE!

Wow.  I don't even know where to begin.  Way too much has happened in the last year +.  Sometimes life just happens.  I honestly totally got sidetracked by life and totally forgot about this.  I still think about the comic sometimes, but today I went through and re-read every one of them.  Apparently people still check out the comic so that's really cool.  I know I promised to update the site, and I still would like to.  I really miss the fun of story creating and comic drawing.  So there is a slight chance I will put up new comics.  I just don't know when.  I think I'll start drawing up some stuff, redesigning some things and maybe this comic will come back to life.  I find myself doodling the characters every now and then and I still have it.  So thanks for checking out my insanity in comic form and hopefully you'll hear back from me soon.

TRIUMPHANT RETURN...ish

Hello!  It's been far too long.  I miss this damn site.  Apparently I've still managed to get a good audience following the comic so I will take this moment to announce that In The Year 3000 will return...this year.  :)  I was fired so the last few weeks have been busy.  I have big personal and professional plans for this year, so I will let everyone know what's going on.  BESIDES THAT, I have been coming up with a way to wrap up the super massive story arc that I should've ended a few months ago, so once that's done I will just put up some random comics while I work on a total reformat of this site.  So thanks for reading, and check back every once in awhile and see if I've actually done anything.

Happy Friday - a note

Happy Friday everybody!

So after taking a few days off, I have decided that I will continue this comic (or another).  Just not right now.  I plan on sketching the conclusion of the current story arc...maybe not as elaborate as I initially planned, but after this arc is finished I will get started on a new endeavour.  I do not know yet if I will keep the current characters and story-line or if I will start over with something new.  Lately, between work and personal life, the comic just became harder to find time for.  That's not fair to you guys.  I appreciate all the support and views that I've received from all the readers.  It means a lot.  This comic was initially supposed to be a goof off for me while I had down time at work; when I had a different position.  Now I find with the more job responsibilities and personal responsibilities I have, it's been harder to find time to even draw the comic, let alone work on the appearance and web-site for it.  So I will take this time to get my life organized and my future in comics.  I love drawing, so I will keep doing it, I just need to reassess what direction that will be.  SOOO.... TL;DR - I'll be back, maybe a new comic, maybe this comic, and I love you guys.  (and girls)

Time of Death 10:24 am

I am calling In The Year 3000 officially dead.  I loved every minute of doing this comic, but it has become a burden in my personal and professional life.  I appreciate all of the readers that I have had.  Perhaps I will continue the comic or start up a new one some day, but as for now, I will have to call it quits.  I will continue to post tweets on twitter and any comic or personal news that I have I will put up on this blog.  Again, I thank you all.

Many profuse apologies for the delay in comics.  Sometimes...life happens and the comic has to take a back burner.  Plus I do this all for free.  There's a reason I don't have ads or sell anything on my site...It's about the comic.  I like to entertain, even though it's a lot of work and I'd really LIKE to have goods for all of you...the comic is just here for your amusement.  So with that being said, I have a congratulations to give out.  RUSSIA!  You have surpassed Germany as my most viewed country outside of the U.S.A.  Поздравляю!!  But don't feel bad Germany.  You're still up there.  Now if I can only get more views from Nepal...hmm...

A Dip Into the Vaults

I'm a little behind for today's comic.  Even though I had 4 freaking days of break from work and whatnot, crazy things started breaking.  First my car.  I noticed the ball joint was going out, once I jacked the car up and looked underneath it.  I saw a mangled mess of metal that shouldn't be there.  Got that fixed (ended up being an entire control arm).  Then my washing mashing exploded.  (maybe not, but it broke anyways) If you follow me on twitter you'll know all about my washing machine shenanigans.  So I had to get a new pump, which the install was fairly easy.  And I spent my entire break basically doing laundry, and fixing shit here and there.  SO...TL;DR:

Lazy, busy, A.D.D. induced lack of comic today.  I will bring the noize on Wednseday.

Ah, Red Dawn.  How a rag tag group of high schoolers could defeat the Russians, in the 80's, with Jennifer Gray and her old nose, and C Thomas Howell being a badass.  Good movie.  Well, I will try to get a comic finished up tonight to post for Fridays.  I WANT TO FINISH THIS WEEK'S COMICS!  I'm excited with the upcoming story line playing out.  It's been a long time coming.
